Regarding Minimum Wage Act & Labour

If anyone can help in for the below few queries the company is a partnership firm and established in mahrastra. Hence, I would like to know what would be applicable as per maharastra. This is a partnership firm.

1.    What type of staff shall be covered under category of ‘Skilled Labours’ with respect to Business setup dealing into computer hardware, AMC and software distribution? What will be minimum wage act applicable to company.

2.    Is Gratuity applicable for partnership for having 10 employees?

3.    Please guide on which are minimum safety measure that company must have in the office.

As per your querry, you are running a shop which needs to be registered under teh Maharastra/bombay shops and establishments act.

The minimum wages category wise as declared for the shop employees under this act are applicable to eh employees engaged by you.

Gratuity act applies to factory/shop/establishment wherever 10 or more employees are engaged. It has not relavance whether these are managed/owned by a partnerhip firm or an individual or company etc.,

You may have to refer to the Rules under Factories Act of your state.
