Querry about Classification

Can somebody assist me in the classification of sarees? It falls under class 24 or 25?

But in one application which was applied under class 25 for sarees, The Examiner objected in Examination Report that Sarees does not fall under class 25, hence he suggested to apply for forn TM-16 to amend the class.

Can you please help me out in this issue?

Actually, when you file in class 25 - you have to state as "wearing apparels including sarees" or "readymade garments including sarees". There are a lot of TM journals which has advertised sarees in class 25. However, there are also a few in class 24. If you particularly deal in sarees only, it is then advisable to file in class 24.

If u deal only in sarees your specification must be 'Sarees and dress material'

under which class does erw pipe fall...these are steel pipes used as basic raw material for making bicycles , auto parts, steel furniture, gates and grills, boilers, sanitary fittings and gen engineering. plzz advise

thanx shalini.....it wud be realy nice if you could solve one more query. matter is sub judice so i need an opinion on the matter. that can a trademark registered under a specific class can form part of (first name) of another firm dealing in same or similiar products but with different trademark. e.g. "abc" is registered trademark of abc textiles selling cloth . can an another person incorporate a a company " abc fabrics p ltd " selling cloth but with different trademark????

please guide. i`l be highly oblidged
