Pan Card for New NGO

Greetings,

Can anyone help me about the procedure and documents required to apply a pan card for a new NGO in Kolkata, West Bengal, India.

Please note that this is about applying a pan card for the organization and not a indiviual pan card.

Your support and advice will be higly appreciated

Thanks

Anup

The criteria for Applying for a new pan card is different for each category. If the NGO is a trust then a copy of trust deed is sufficient both for identity and address proof, similarly, in case of a society a certificate of registration from the registrar of societies is sufficient in case the NGO is a company incorporated u/s.25 of the Companies Act then a certificate of incorporation is sufficient.

NGO may be in the form of Trust or Society or a company. Form No.49A is common for all. For address proof and id proof the following doduments should be attached with Form No.49A

In case of trust registered trust deed copy

In case of society copy of certificate of registration with bye laws

in case of companies u/s 25 certifcate of incorporation with Memorandum and Articles of association
