Non credit of tds in form as 26 statement

Hi all,

I have one small query. My father is a retired university professor. Recently, he got his Form 16 for the A.Y. 2012-13, showing TDS of Rs. 30000/-, but this amount is not being reflected in his Form AS 26 statement  available with TIN-NSDL.

He has contacted the Accounts Officer of the University many times, but nothing is happening. What remdies are available to him?

Thanks & regards

You can complain to the next officer in heirarchy and still if no response is not coming forth from them complain to the Concerned TDS circle in the Income Tax Deptt.

You need to get this rectified as only the amount reflected in Form 26AS would be counted by the Income Tax Dept
