need help

Hi friends..

i need some help

in aug 2009 i took amount from one person and cleared in nov 2009

i forgot to take a promisory note from him

a person i do not know called me two days earlier and telling dat i have to give him 70000

so i said to proceed through court

so what is the procedure now??

if he put a case against me??

i am student

so is this case will effect my future

like getting passport n visa etc etc..

pls help me in dis regard

Dnt worry. It is civil case. He cannot file criminal case against you. The nature itself is civil nature. He has to file a suit for recovery of money on the basis of the promissory note exeucted.

Mr.Ajay,

Kindly refer to the General Clauses Act for the purposes of cancelling the Promissory Note against which whatever was due and payable stands settled.

Mr Ajay,

try to remember that whether he had taken your signature on plain paper if yes then you can be made accused of misappropriation. If not then don't worry.
