Insurace claim after 6 years

Dear sir's.

One of my neighbour got to know that his husband who died in 2006 had brought 2 life insurace policies.

As they were unaware of these policies, claim was never filed. If policies were inforce at the time of death, can claim be filled now. Please adivise.

thanks..

Yes it can be claimed.  She has to give a letter to the concerned branch why the delay is made to claim the insurnace amount.

Of course she can claim for the insurance policies but burden of proof is on the widow  that she will have to exlain the circumstances which disablied her to file a calim on time.
