Respected Members,
I am Bernard Selvaraj from coimbatore, need some assistanse in starting an NGO.
The NGO i have planned to start will be an awarnes movement
(vizhipunarvu iyakkam in tamil) for people.
My question is, What catogery does it come? under trusts or society? or does it comes under any other catogery . pleas help me in this.

it is registered under the provisions of the Socities Registration Act 1860. An application is filed before Inspector General of registration and since any society or body formed and operated for the purposes of literary, charitable and scientific purposes needs to be registered under the Society Registration Act 1860. NGO is always a society.
Member Strength 9,46,654 and growing..
