My wife wants information from my axis bank account for month of Aug 2010. But in May 2011 i closed that account and opened new account in the same bank and branch will she succeed.

bank is not supposed to disclose the confidential information of the client

As a fiduciary relationship of the Bank with the customers the bank can not reveal the said information to the information seeker. So, there is no point to be worried.

The bank is duty bound to save your information and the bank can not dis close your any information to third party without your consent

Remove the money from this bank by CASH. Then close the acc.

it is very easy to get your account details by summoning thru court of Law if facing martial cases in Court.
