The much hyped the CrPC Amendment Bill 2008 as passed by the parliment and approved by president
i have the following questions.
is is a law now and police cant arrest any person now
Is it publsihed in the offical gazette which are the states have implmented it
if not printed in the offical gazette what is the time frame to publish it

THE CODE OF CRIMINAL PROCEDURE (AMENDMENT) BILL, 2008
(AS PASSED BY THE RAJYA SABHA)
A BILL further to amend the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973.
BE it enacted by Parliament in the Fifty-ninth Year of the Republic of India as follows:—
1. (1) This Act may be called the Code of Criminal Procedure (Amendment) Act, 2008.
(2) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint; and different dates may be appointed for different provisions of this Act.
