Can accused do the trial himelf?

i want to know that in criminal case ,can accused fight his case without giving a lawyer and if possible under which section ?

I am fighting my dv case myself. So it is very much possible. I am also arguing my own divorce case. You can argue any case in any court in India even supreme court. As per the constitution. You just have to follow the process of representing yourself as party in person. I have permanent brain damage and a speech impairment. So if I can do it so can anyone else..
