@ Fighting Back. Nothing is going to happen, by the time they have decided to present some other topic will be raised and sessions will be either postponed or cancelled.

It is all a Gimmick. Even political parties like AAP, BJP doesn't want this draconian law to be passed in this session as everyone knows that it is going to effect them in the upcoming elections.

Now it has been listed for consideration and passing in Lok Sabha on 10th feb 2014.

We have already missed the train.

Just can't imagine what is going to happen to rural area!!!!!

The disaster is in the making/offing.

Take it as a gift of Sonia /Rahul Gandhi dynastical regime which should not ever come back to power again ever in this century.

I can only hope that LS only passes amendments to S. 13-B to accommodate the kids of politicians (like our home minister etc!!!) who are stuck due to withdrawal of consent by pposite party in second motion in MCD.

I hope that S.13-C is NOT introduced at all in Hindu Marriage Act!

OR at least S.13-C in HMA (the new addition in the making) should not be made retrospective ....... (let it be effective to new marriages hereinafter but SHOULD NOT BE MADE applicable to those who are already married)

At least new couples would be aware that (tkaing 7 steps is no longer a sacrament and one can simply quit the partnership!!! )

So Hindu personal law is made like Muslim law (wherein the marriage is just a CONTRACT and nothing more!!!)

OUR Hindu religious sentiments are going to get hurt in this.

Rather people would start live in relationships!!!!

Not yet passed in the Lok Sabha, though listed every day. Just hoping that the session adjourns (sine die) till the next LS elections then it is anybody's guess with a new government in power.....

DV Act Buster....Did not get u...

DV Act Buster (CEO)     14 February 2014

On 21st Feb, this Lok Sabha session will be over and the 15th Lok Sabha will stand dissolved. Each Lok Sabha session tenure is for 5 years. The 15th Lok Sabha was formed in May 2009 and is the latest to date and willbe dissolved with the end of this session. Pending bills in Lok Sabha will all lapse. With the new 16th Lok Sabha and a new government the bill will have to be presented from scratch and will have to go thru the entire parliamentry process again.....

This is as per my understanding.....anybody please correct me if I am wrong.
