No husband cannot claim wife's property in her lifetime.

No one has right on the self acquired property of any one, irrespective of gender, during his/her life time. Once deceased, the husband and children have equal rights on the self acquired property of the wife, if she has not left any will.

Self acquired property cannot acquired by any one till the person is alive. On the demise of a person, all the legal heirs will get equal share between each of them, if a person didnt make his/her will. Otherwise the share of property will be divided according to the Will.
