All cooperative . housing societies in Maharashtra are already following 97 th amendment of Mcs act with effect from April 2013.A news about the Supreme court judgement against Kerala State displayed in local news paper dated 16th October says that housing Societies Are not covered under Rti AcT.It is rather confusing for Societiy members and Managing committee to follow rti procedure or not..If it applicable for all chs in maharashtra. then it will be a harrasment tool for those members who are not paying there maintenence and not following any society rules.
