Foreigner (nri) facing dv,dowry(498a) maintenance cases

I am an india  born  foreign citizen . I got married to an Indian girl in JAN,2013 but found that she could not consummate marriage. The girl returned to india and filed   DV , Dowry and maintenance  cases against me. I did not accept any summons so far.

My friend advised me to just not  go to india to avoid arrest and ignore summons , warrants ETC. issued by Indian courts.

Can you advise if this strategy is correct.

Can i just fight   only DV case and maintenance case sitting outside india and ignore 498A. Do i have to come to india for DV case.?

There can not be any blanket statement with regard to going to India or not.

However, you can not pick and choose which court cases to fight and which to avoid. Many foreign nationals are fighting cases in India.

It depends on which state the case is in? Who other than you are involved in the cases?
