The judgment curtails the powers of the High Court under section 482 of the CRPC to give directions to the police officer to register a complaint.

I have read the judgment. This will lead to corrupt practices and arbitrariness to the police.

When there is non registration of FIR upon a complaint by the police which is mandated upon it , remedy available to the aggrieved is to take up the matter to the suprindinant of police why should the high court invoke its inherent powers when there is an aalternate and efficacious remedy
