One of my employee has made suicide and died.  Kindly advice Gratuity calculation eligibility whether till his last day worked or his retirement age.

 Gratuity is a lump sum payment made based on the total service of an employee either on retirement or death. It is calculated as so many months pay with reference to his service.

 An employee should have minimum service of 5 years to earn gratuity
