Reward to informer

 I understand that income tax department, customs and centra excise give rewards which may be as much as 20% of the amount recovered as a result of tax/duty recovered on the basis of his information. As far as income tax act is concerned, there is no such provision in the Act itself.

Under what law/order such rewards are given?
