I came in contact with a person who said he is a financer and gaev his contact number. few weeks later my friend got a project file for which he required funds. i contacted the so called financer and he agreed to finance. an agreement was made between the borrower and the lender about the amount, rate of interest and commissson. and borrower paid a commitment charge of rupees 5.5. lac to the lender and took a post dated cheque from the lender as safety. the agreement says when the loan is released even the committment charge will be returned. now its been 45 days completed from the deadline still he has not given loan or refunded the amount. i along with two others have signed as witness. please tell me do i fall in trouble or responsible to pay the amount. what is my role. plz reply at the earliest. we feel he is fraud
