Notice to be sent to respondant or his counsel?

Sir,

In a civl case the plaint got an Interim injunction - it was an exparte order. Now we filed a CMA i the higher court. The Higher court directed us to send notice to the Plaint(of lower court).

Now we have to send notice to the Plaint or to his Lawyer? When the I.A was sent to us by the plaint, the plaint's lawyer had specified that the address of the plaint is that of his lawyers.

After we sent notice to the plaint's lawyer - we have got a reply from the lawyer that it has to be sent to the Plaint's address.

We are confused

Sending notice means that it should reach the hands of the person to whom it has to be given

Sir,

here the question is - the counsel has given in written that any notice should be served to him and not to the Plaint. NOw he is saying that the notice should have been sent to Plaint and not to him.

The upper court had instructed us to send notice to respondant so based on the statement of the plaints lawyer we sent to the lawyer
