Our family residing in vadodara, gujarat since 1930. my father purchased agriculture land in 1962, and transfered to us in 1992. My father expired in 1993. As on today in revenue department our status is as a farmer. At present in Gujarat, act said that, "non farmer can not purchase agriculture land". I want to know that, this act came into force from which time? Our father purchased agriculture land in 1962. wether collector can vast our land " shri sarkar" on ground that my father is not oreginaly farmer in 1962. In my knowledge in every 10 years central govt audit done in revenue dept and if a person hold agriculture land for more then 50 years, govt can vast his land? on what ground? any supporting judgment available?
