Introduction: 

 

The Finance Bill, 2013 has amended the Negative List of Services along with some Mega Exemptions proposed to be rationalized either by curtailing or withdrawing the same. A new Service Tax Voluntary Compliance Encouragement Scheme, 2013 (VCES) has been introduced along with provisions for Imprisonment, Offences - Cognizable or Non cognizable, Power to Arrest, Personal Penalty on Directors & Officials of Companies, etc.

 

Futher, there are various issues still persisting on Concept of 'Servcie', 'Reverse Charge', Place of Provision of Service, Exemptions and Abatements, etc. Furthermore, the Central Government has notified revised ST-3 Form for filing Service Tax Return for the Period - July 1, 2012 to September 30, 2012 latest by 15th April, 2013 also hinting of positive regime of service tax. We are pleased to announce a full day workshop, which would be highly focused and practice-oriented. It is designed to provide the participants with both theoretical background and technical expertise needed to implement the same in practical life.

This program is designed for CEOs, CFOs, and finance and tax personnel of big, medium and small sized national/ multinational enterprises, tax consultants, and in house tax managers handling Service Tax, Excise and Customs issues.

About Faculty:

 

Mr. Bimal Jain, FCA, ACS, LLB, B.Com (Hons) carries a blend of industrial and professional experience of more than 18 years in Indirect Taxation, specializes in all aspects of GST, Excise, Service Tax, Customs, Sales tax/ VAT laws, Free trade/ economic cooperation agreements,anti dumping duty, foreign trade policy etc. He has hands on experience in Strategic legal & Taxation Laws in carrying out diagnostic review of business operations, opinion & advisory services, process review, structuring of business model, litigation services at all appropriate forum, representation before the TRU/CBEC/DGFT, etc. for various matters concerning to trade, industry and commerce. He has Professional Membership of the following:-
