Delay in getting certified copy of police report from court

our cousin due to family grudge filed a police case against us an year back with the charges of attempt of murder. After the police enquiry  the report was forwarded to court. We didnot collect  copy of any of the related documents that time. Now after an year he is again trying to create problem.

At this time we asked our advocate to get the certified copy of the report and all related document from court. Its almost more than three weeks since the request is given to court, but we have not received the document yet. Also to our astonishment we got the feedback from our advocate, the file is present  in the court but the documents are all mixed up.They are unable to find the document in court.

Seeking expert opinion as to

1. How can the document get misplaced/mix up?

2.Can our opposite party influence the court staff to misplace /change the report.

3. Normal duration and procedure for  getting the certified copy from court.

4.In such case how to get the copy as it is very important and urgent.

5. What all documents can be collected from the police station and how to get it.

6. Fees to get the certified copy.

Would be thankful if someone can immediately respond as we are totally unaware of legal procedure and our advocate too is not taking things so seriously.
