Hello,
Recently SBI dishonered a cheque I paid to a builder as final payment. The reason they gave was signature mismatch. It was a Rs 15 lakh cheque and didn't even call to confirm. I had paid by 5 lakh Rs cheque to same builder last month and matched the signature on both cheques and found no difference. As a result, the house registry has been delayed by one week. Please advice if there are any RBI guidelines in this regard.
