Can a member of consumer fourm practice

Dear friends

My question is that

Can a member of consumer forum (other than advocate) post graduate or CA carry on his business or profession if any.

Whether practice means before the consumer court itself  or any other judicial court

It is felt that :

As per Section 10 of the Consumer Protection Act 1986, applications should be invited from eligible candidates through publication of advertisement in two newspapers; later, a committee comprising president of the State Consumers Redressal Forum and Secretary to the Law department should select chairpersons and members of the district forums.

The Law Secretary and the Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department appoints the members, and members are paid honorarium and Chairman is paid a salary. The terms and conditions expressed in the letter of appointment should apply.

As it true for a govt. employee, private practice may be prohibited for members and Chairman.
