How to add name in birth certificate?

Hi!

I am an indian national, born in 1971 in Maharashtra. My birth certificate does not contain my name. It has only parents name and birth date. When I approched registrar at birth place, he said that after so many years now he  cannot add my name in the birth certificate simply by filling form.

So please advise me the legal procedure for inclusion of name in birth certificate.

Thanks in advance.

respected querist,

to enter your name in birth certificate after so many years is not under the powers of registrar, you have to file civil declaration suit in the court for adding of your name in the birth certificate.
