Rent payment not allowed by court

I  have been a tenant in a shop since 1983 and was paying rent to the owner. After owner's death, someone from owner's family is claiming to be the owner of the shop and produced a forged will as per which he happens to be the owner. We filed a case against the person denying his ownership. The case ran good number of years and ended up declaring a owner tenant relation between us and him. On the account of unsatisfactory judgement, we requested to move the case to other lower court. In honour of the court we want to pay the rent. But the other lower court is not allowing us to pay the rent on the basis of our appeal that the concerned person is not the owner and has no right to charge rent from us. Please guide me. Your knowledge can help me get justice.
