The scolding amounts to use of criminal force on a public servant detering him from discharge of his duties which he is legally bound to discharge. You will be liable for prosecution under section 353 of Indian ppenal Code which is cognizable and non-bailable. If you are Disobeying Lawful Directions of traffic police man then you are liable for prosecution under section 132/177 Motor Vehicle Act 1988 which may carry a fine of Rs.500/-.If you are disobeying a traffic police man in uniform the you are liable for a fine of Rs.100/- under section 119 /177 M.V.Act.
