I am an NRI based in Tunisia and need to execute a POA for property sale in the name of my Father. Could anyone please explain the process for this.
I checked with the local indian embassy. They advised that documents need to be prepared in ludhiana (along with stamp papers) and sent to me. I will sign the documents in the presence of officer at the embassy and the embassy will validate the document. However my father has consulted some lawyers in Ludhiana and they advise that the document need to be fully executed/Notarised in Tunisia and then validated by the embassy. Could somebody advise the correct procedure please.
