All India Radio News has made efforts to reach out to the maximum number of people through their own languages by broadcasting news and programmes in over 75 languages or dialects. The Regional News Units (RNUs) of AIR spread across the country are making special efforts to bring the trends, results and analyses to the people in regional languages throughout the day. The RNUs would be broadcasting 34 special programmes, 294 special bulletins and extending timings of 152 existing bulletins.
During the five phases of polling, the RNUs have already broadcast about 1200 special/extended bulletins and mounted about 125 special programmes in different regional languages. Some of the programmes and bulletins would also be available on the website of AIR news.
