Required suggestion

Sir,

My Wife is working in a reputed pharmaceuticals company from last 11 years. In appointment letter they mentioned that after every four year there will be a change in the grade and she will come into new pay scale. But no body is responding even if she ask branch manager or south head people. We expect the promotions as per the tenure atleast if not based on the performance. Till now she waited but this year also she did not get the grade change. Now she tired asking the people, What to do?

Sir,

[1] In the appointment letter, please confirm whether the increment in grade is linked to efficiency, and whether there have been any complaints about the efficiency of the employee.

[2] If everything is clearly mentioned,as you write,  then only the legal avenue is open.

Hello Sir,

Thank for your response.

In the appointment letter they have mentioned the payscale and also they mentioned that after every successfull completion of 4 years service grade will be changed.

There are no remarks during the service.

I believe as she is a lady, nobody is properly responding. And also they have the head office in mumbai. They have to be updated the information from the hyderabad branch, but here nobody ready to help in this regard.

The lady may submit a gentle representation in writing under acknowledgment addressed (even if by official email) to good offices of appointing authority, MD, Head-HR, mentioning her Emp. Code ....and that as per appointment letter dated....clause no.........after every 4 years her grade shall be upgraded, while it has not been upgraded and it may be upgraded and accordingly she may be granted increments.

If it is reputed and professional pharmaceutical company she shall hear from the good offices. If there is no response/reply say within next 15days, she may issue gentle reminder and remain amiable to line management in local as well as HO personnel. Lady may obtain copy of certified standing orders of the company, employee rule book.

Next she can appeal to o/o Chairman.

Its 11 years long service in a private company. Have patience and proceed in gentle manner.
