Mcd delaying teacher's salaries

MCD has been delaying primary teachers' salaries almost every month. Most of the times it's delayed by over a month and paid along with next month's salary. This makes any savings, EMI payment almost impossible for someone who depends on the salary for the same.

What legal action can be initiated against MCD for the same? I had sent an RTI asking if MCD abides by Payment Of Wages Act 1936 while processing salaries of Primary Teachers and they replied 'Yes'

Approach the employees union and submit a representation thru union and obtain a copy. Union can also lodge  complaint with O/o labor  Commissiner/Wages Inspector.

You can take action under the payment of wages act.

I first want to send them a notice. Can anyone suggest a format for such notice?

MCD has an old culture of treating teachers inhumanly and has no control over their clerks who give salary as a doles.

MCD is now in the jurisdiction of CAT but generic case cannot be filed there. A specific case of individual violation can filed for individual relief and number of similarly placed persons can combine.

The action suggested by Mr Singh and Mr DOab shall have a limited effec that your salary will not be delayed.
