Whether statement made by maid is sufficient for conviction

One way is to keep your valuables hidden from maids,always locked in drawers,cupboards,etc.

never leave the maid alone in the house while all members are away.

its not that all maids trap men if they are alone in the house at that time.

in careless families they can trap,if the family doesnt take care of a few things and is too free and open in their talks/actions while the maid is around

so,for ex:

never discuss money matters in front of maids,abd never let your maids clean your almirahs,cupboards,etc,even if they are old "trusted" maids.By seeing the things in your cupboards,they get an idea of your status.

Similarly if you have jewels and cash inside the locker of your almirahs,always lock the room before opening these,if you need any cash,jewels.

If you have marriage function in the family and few guests are coming to see your prepartaions,ie,the gifts which you plan to give to people,never call the maid at that time.

Prepone/postpone her program,so that when she steps into the house,the work of "showing your preparations" is already done/will be done after she leaves.

These are a few ways..

It must be dependable, cogent and she must not be interested wither way. Single witness testmony is also a rule which can be put in motion. 

Firstly try your best not to engage made servants in home services. They are mostly dangerious and can allege any thing to black mail. People generally beliv what a woman say at par but it is not so. Even on road if the woman at fault sympthy of people will be with women. Very dangerious thing. Women are, now a days eqyually responsable for 'molestation' of males. 

One best idea "Do your work with own hands take the help of other family members. If u don't have time to clean your house, clean it before going to bed. So that "maid" become last option.

maids have becme the 1st option in india because due to our cultural conditioning,only women are forced to do housework.men dont contribute/contribute little.

if we follow the west. system where the man shares 50% of housework,there will be no need for maids.and therefore no false cases arising as a result,where men are trapped.

have u noticed that houses of the west. people are cleaner and much more organised,compared to indian houses?

its the result of doing the work with your own hands..

That's why I do all of my works by myself .

It is always not pratical to do all the house hold works alone due to various situations. But always to be in a safer side by keeping in mind that a single allegation from house maid will lead to behind bars. sometimes there wont be any conviction but to harrass or to black mail, that complaint would be enough.

COMING TO THE LAW POINT IT IS THE SETTLE PRINCIPLE THAT IF EVEN THE EVIDENCE OF A SINGLE PERSON IS FULLY TRUST WORTHY CONVICTION MAY BE AWERDED ON THE BASIS OF SUCH STATEMENT. THE POINT IS TO NOTE HOW FAR CREDIDIBILITY THE STATEMET OF THE MAID HAS.

I disagree somewhat,especially with the aforesaid statement of yours..

In the entire west,south east asia and other countries,except a few countries like india,pak.,etc.,a typical husband and wife do the housework by sharing it on a 50:50 basis.

but in india,we have become habitual of saying,that doing work like this is not always possible.this tendency to look for excuses,and therefore hiring maids is laregly responsible for all the crimes dun by these workres and maids.

if we regard such works as so impossible,how come people in the west are able to share the work equally,and yet enjoy themselves on weekends by going out on picnics,parties,beaches,and so on?

they never say:it's not always possible to do the housework urself.

lastly no one says in this thread that u do the work alone...the point discussed here is that housework is to be shared EQUALLY b/w spouses..

You are Right in your version But the question arises how to cope up with such situation if the maid made such kind of allegations against any family member

Its not possible to diengage the services of the housemaid as in Joint family especially in the metros where there is the space problem we cannot take decison on whole sole basis i.e one is interested in enagagement of work and my disengagement may crate clashes or if Ione disallowe her to work teh it may crate family trobles

In some experiences when one member is alaone at home and house lady was not availabel and requested not to come on day then it also create problem that the member was not intested in taking the services of maid and intentionally relieved from the services

In majority of case uninanmous decisions have to be taken but the household ladies don't understand the problem that her carelessness may cause trouble to the family

                              You mean to say that we terminte all the female staff from our offices as they can also get influenced from our money and can blacmail us .

It is not any solution . The perfect solution is that always maintain a proper distance from your staff either she is your maid or personal secrotary .

Your statemets are appreciated but i am saying about the busiest couples, both are engaged in serious job, having kids, may  be they have old parents to look after. In such situation to hire a maid is the only alternative but i didnt mean it for people living comfortably without much job. It is always advisable to do all our jobs ourselves.

All said and done women as general is habit of alleging against malefolk. Its reality. Sh makes hue and cry for no reason. Male folk may be some time responsible but not that women flk is abosolutel trust worty. Fake cases under Sec.304 -B, 491-A  Sec. 3 and  4 of Dowery Prohibition Act, Different Sections of protection of women from domestic violence Act and allied Acts hav not protected women but have helped to break the familiy ties by mis using the provisions. Unfortunately I fail to understand why male folk and media gives undue importanto women and sympty. Reality is it takes to make a quarel.
