Hello Lawyers,

I heard that the Bar Council of Maharashtra & Goa conducts the Solicitor exam in Mumbai. I wish to pursue the same. Could anyone tell me the details of such exam??

Thanks in advance.

Dear Sumit,

Bar Council Of maharashtra and Goa doesn't conduct Solicitor exam.

It is conducted by Bombay Incorporate Law Society where you have to register yourself, for that do the following

signed an articleship agreement with/ under any solicitor

photocopy of such should be submitted with the law society

articleship would be for three years and after completion of the same you will be eligible to enter in examination.

for further details just be in touch with the Bombay Incorporate Law Society

I have a question. CAn anyone tell me is there any difference if a person appears for the QLTT and then becomes a Solicitor. ANd what if we appear for the exam from Mumbai? What is the status of the Soliciors who are passed out from these two different forums?
