Cancel register marriage

In matrimonial cause the word used is annul not cancellation, as such, special marriage can be annuled on several grounds such as fraud, impotence, wife pregnant at the time of marriage, cruelty etc, by presenting a divorce petition before the district Court or the City Civil court if you are in City and also Subordinate Court if empowered by the State government under the act.

There is no provision to cancel a registerd marriage under the Special Marriage Act,1954.The provisions are for "nullity of marriage and divorce" under chapter VI of the Act.
