Maharashtra Co-operative Housing Society matter

I have some queries regarding Maharashtra Co-operative Housing Society matters. They are

1. What is the minimum and maximum tenure of the Managing Committee of Co-operative Housing Society as per Maharashtra Co-op Soc. Act / Bye laws.

2. Whether the Proposer and Seconder of the candidature can exercise this right more than one time. In other words whether a proposer can propose names of more than one candidate for the election of members of managing committee.

Similarly for seconder too, whether he can second names of more than one candidate for the election of members of managing committee.

1.  If the society (CHS) is registered, then the managing committee has to follow MCS Act and Rules and not the rules of MAHADA.

2.  If you have purchased the flat and submitted the duly stamp + registered agreement + CHS transfer forms to the CHS, THEN the CHS cannot charge you any extra charges and you should be charged as per the charges levied to other regd. members.

3.  MAHADA transfer is a mere formality, which the CHS is not concerned.  It is for your own safety that you need to transfer right & title in the MAHADA records.

4.  In the event, if you are aggreived, you may prefer an appeal before the MAHADA dy.registrar and put your case before him for redressal.

5.  The CHS is wrong in charging you, IF all agreements + transfer forms have been submitted to them.
