Dear Sir,
My brother wants to file a consumer suit against a builder in Tiruchirappalli district, Tamil Nadu by giving POA (power of attorney) to me to file the case. I understand that cases relating to persons with disability (PWDs) are taken up on priority basis by consumer forums. As such, am I eligible for priority hearing as I as the POA holder is a PWD?

I suppose the cases will be heard on priority basis when the comaplianants themselves are PWDs. Priority will not be given to the POA holder as such.

For hearing on priority basis the person should be PWD and the case should be of his own. POA cases will not consider as his own case.
