Hope After sentenced Guilty

A person has been in jail for 6 months for some forgery case after getting punishment by court. After 6 months 'Can this person apply for any government job or any semi government sector job ?'

And If he had been doing government job, Can he get his job back after 6 months ? ( The forgery case was not related to that job , it may be related to other issues).

If not then why..? Because a person can not be punished twice( Jail and Job both), He should get one punishment only..

The conviction and sentence puts a bar on government employment. Therefore it is not double punishment. The conviction for an offence of moral turpitude makes it all the more to difficult to even think of retaining employment. He can go for private jobs, without disclosing the fact as our society does not believe in reform/ rehabilitation approach as on date. It will be utopian to think so, given the present establishment set up in government.
