setting up separate residence

Somehow i dont feel very convinced about this judgement. While courts spend a lot of time trying to reconcile differences between husband and wife to ensure the santity of "marriage" is upheld, they should also ensure that the santity of "family" is also not compromised. Just because the wives come from their home to the matrimonial home and start looking at FIL & MIL as 3rd persons and try to pull the husband out of family is no way justifiable. This is one more weapon that women have now and sadly, fueled by courts also.

Everybody have their own preferences. There is nothing wrong in people wanting for a nuclear family. However these things needs to be expressed upfront. What if a girl prefers only nuclear family, but hides it from the boy at the time of marriage (who always wants to be in a joint family structure and expresses it upfront) and pressurizes for nuclear family post marriage?? Isnt this break of Trust?

When the courts not worried about breaking the "joint family" culture, why are they bothered about  live-in-relationships?? If they are not bothered about our tradition of joint family and accept the western culture of nuclear family, then why cant they adopt the western culture of laws on matrimony & divorce???

yes i agree that b4 marriage only the boy and girl shud make it clear to each other whether they wana live with inlaws or separately.

but i just dont support the culture of live in relationships...

if these relations happen b/w 2 married persons or between 1 married and 1 unmarried person, then it ruins their marriage, traumatises their partner and their kids, also brings about sadness in the life of parents of the suffering spouse,& so on.

if for example a married man lives with another woman after deserting his wife,i dont find the courts justified in granting the GF maintenance, esp if its proven that the GF was already aware of his marriage and yet continued living with him...

on one hand the courts have held that such a GF cant be prosecuted in 498A cases as she's not a family member of the husband.on the other hand the same courts grant maintenance to this GF even though maintenance is justified only to family members.it seems the courts are rewarding her for intruding in the life of the married couple

actresses like hema malini, etc broke the homes of married men like dharmendra.and we as a society glorigy these very actresses as if they are some goddesses
