IPC came into existence in 1860 under Charter Act of 1833. IPC extends to whole India except in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Its divided into 23 chapters and 511 sections in total. It was written by Thomas Babington Macaulay of England. So IPC is written in the English language.

However, there is an app that would provide you IPC in English, Hindi, Gujarati, Telugu, Marathi, Tamil and Karnataka.
