Suit under provisions of the hindu adoption and maintenance

Respected sir

A woman filed case against his husband , mother in law and father in law U/s 18 of hindu adoption and maintenance act and claimed from his father in law his land and house .

in other words that she demanded maintenance from his husband on his salary and share in land and house from his father in law .

please tell advice how it is maintainable

A married woman can demand maintenance from her husband but has no legal right to demand anything from her father-in-law. Very specific guidelines are laid down by the Hon. Supreme Court for such matters.

It is explicitly mentioned in the Law itself that a wife has claim ONLY on the assets of her husband. You may refer the judgment of the Hon. Supreme Court of 04/11/2020 for rights and duties of the couple in their divorce matter.
