How far doctrine "res inter alios recta" is relevant to explanation 2 of section 8 indian Evidence Act 1872?

"Res inter alios" in common language means: "A matter between others is not our business." It is a law doctrine which states that a contract cannot adversely affect the rights of one who is not a party to the contract.

Explanation 2 of section 8, Evidence act states that - When the conduct of any person is relevant, any statement made to him or in his presence and hearing, which affects such conduct, is relevant. This means if an subsequent or previous event leads to another or corelates with it, it will be held relevant. 

Example - A is tried for the murder of B by poison. The fact that, before the death of B, A procured poison similar to that which was administered to B, is relevant.
