Chapter 3 of Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) 1973, deals with POWERS OF COURT. The entire chapter comprises of 9 sections i.e. Section 26 to Section 35.

Chapter 3 of Codes of criminal procedure Code, 1973 enumerates with Powers of Court. The chapter deals with sections 26 to section 36.

Whereas, section 26 of the code deal with courts by which offences are triable. Section 27 of the code prescribes jurisdiction in juveniles. Section 28 mentions, sentences that High Courts and session judges may pass. Section 29, Sentences which magistrate may pass. Section 30, a sentence of imprisonment in default of fine. Section 31 sentence in cases of conviction of several offences at one trial.Section 32, mode of conferring powers. Section 33, powers of officers appointed. Section 34, withdrawal of powers. In Section 35, the power of judges and Magistrates is exercisable by their successors in office.
