Our cooperative housing society does not have dedicated parking spaces. Members are allowed to park vehicles in society's open space as courtesy towards members. One member has started parking his taxi (commercial vehicle) in the space provided to him. He does not understand that it is not a alloted parking but society's open space which he should use for parking his own private vehicle. How do we stop him from 1. parking commercial vehicle and 2. How do we make him understand that space provided to him for parking is actually society's common space and it does rightfully belong to him. |

1. IF the "commercial Taxi" stand in name of member, THEN member is entitled to Park one vehicle inside the Society premises. Each member holds rights to proportionate space in the Society common spaces. There is no restrictions or classifications in the Society bye-laws which defines "commercial" or "private" vehicles standing in name of member.
2. In a Society there is no such thing as "courtesy towards members". Members have absolute right to park vehicles which stand in their personal names. This is upheld in Consumer court judgments.
