Recently i sent a notice regarding my intention to my wife's father and my wife addressed to my in law's address.
Now i wanted to file a divorce petition , but lawyer is saying that divorce related family courts are yet to open in chennai /chengalpattu region.
Basically i lived near Nanganallur region , he said - i can apply only to tambaram or alandur or chengalpattu family courts ? And courts are still closed .
Is that correct ? He says my living address was outside chennai family high court jurisdiction ?
What documents do i need keep it ready for divorce petition filing on grounds of cruelty ?
