Alimony from estranged husband

Respected Sir/Madam, I got divorced in 2017. My divorce was ex party decree as he never appeared in court. As the cases are filed in lower courts, the city I belong to is a rural area, where in no court has ever seen such cases and even any lawyer too. So nobody guided me correctly and I am still undergoing alimony case where the lawyers extracted a lot of money from me and I am not able to get any positive response.. He is still abroad and not coming to India. Can anyone guide me how to get alimony.
