Making a will of inherited property

Sir, I have a query: Residential Property Matter My father, who got a residential property through a "will" by his mother (his mother acquired this property through her own money). We are two sisters from our father. My father "willed" this (inherited) property to one of his daughters not giving anything to his other daughter. My question is: can my father who has got the property under inheritance from her mother "will" it to one of his daughter leaving other with nothing? A K Bhatia

Sir, thank you for reply. But what about this opinion? "Inherited property can't be given away by will. A person has two properties — one made out of own earnings and other inherited. ... But if the properties are inherited, the same can't be given away by Will, but will devolve upon the heirs entitled to such property under the Hindu Law if the deceased is Hindu.Jul 9, 2006"
