Clear your question properly....

what identification do you need?

I mean to say how to distinguish ancestral and self acquired property by looking at papers .
example 1 Mr. x purchased the property from Mr Y and available for sale. Example 2 Mr X purchased from Mr Y and retained for 2 generations then available for sale from his grand sons. so which property requires son and others signature as part of ancestral property. which property requires only seller sign.

Ok

To know this you need to first applied for "search report" of property from reg off.

You can take help from lawyer/you can go self...in this report clearly you will find the title holder details.

If the property title is with anyone's upper genaration name it may ancestral,if your seller hold the title ownership he may self owner.

So first get "Search Report" of such property.

And before buing property of those doubt type, make an notice in local newspaper with stating that I(X) is willing to buy those property if anyone have problem with that propery please contact within 15 day,and keep this copy with you for future help if any dispute arise.
