File simple RTI Application with the following query under Life or Liberty if the arm's license is for self protection for threats. PIO and his FAA has to provide the information within 48 hours.
Information solicited:
1. Please inform the time frame within which the license has to be granted for the arms as per citizen charter.
2. Please inform the reasons on the record for inordinate delay in granting license.
3. Please provide the names of the concerned employees with whom the application is pending.
If you have already paid prescribed fees, then issue a notice for expediting the license under CP Act and file a complaint before District Consumer Forum for harassment. The process costs less than Rs.500/- in all if you appear as a party in person.
