I have requested for closure of FD with Housing Finance Company(HFC). They are governed by NHB which claims to regulate all HFC. They now claim that they have liquidity problem and deny premature closure of FD.
Request sent for closure on 22nd July to HFC. Also intimated they governing body NHB but no response.
Please suggest whether to give an FIR under which section ? Or how to take this legally.

First try to find the terms and conditions of your FD related to withdraw(premature withdraw).
You can go through your deed/papers of FD where it may mention.If this allowed you to withdraw anytime then they need to settle it.
To go to legal first make an application with demanding reply from HFC,why they are not paying,then file a report to police station they will decide section you don't need to know the section.It depends on their written reply then guilt framed upon them on the basis of their answer.
