employment offer by Indian company to work abroad

Can a Indian subsidiary company of a South African holding company provide an offer to an Indian citizen to work in South Africa, offer given by Indian subsidiary and salary to be received in India from the Indian subsidiary. No salary or any other facilities provided in South Africa. In India pf, and taxes are deducted. Is this offer valid from a legal standpoint?

The issue is not concerned with litigation.  It all depends on standing and reputation of African company and it's a subsidy.  It is the employee that has to make a proper investigation into the cost of living, climate etc., at another place in Africa and decide the ultimate benefit in working in that Country. and vis a vis his domestic duties and responsibilities.

Tx for a quick response, I am more concerned about the legality of this employment offer, as the person working abroad and receiving salary in India can't remit funds abroad, these funds are non repatriable. Hence how would that person survive in there.

Before taking up employment, an employee should discuss and get clarifications and from the date of stepping into service should not look into legal remedies.  There may be very few cases where an employee with his limited resources fought against the employer and during the struggle lost everything precious in his age.  Take proper precautions and get clarification in writing and avoid such service doubting even before stepping into the boat.
